<h2>MARKED UP - Call for submissions</h2>

<p>We Love Markup. We love beautifully written code.</p>

<p>MARKED UP is a book written entirely in Markup & stylesheets, showcasing the very best Markup from around the world. Developers and writers are invited to submit their code for inclusion in this book.</p>

<p>Well written Markup is an art form and very few people are good at it. We are looking for simple, succinct, and creative code that explores the language of Markup as art. Code with a soul. With a purpose. Something inspiring.</p>

<p>For this purpose we will be publishing a book featuring the very best of this form of writing. If you are a writer, fluent in this language, and would like to have your code published, please see the guidelines below:</p>

<h3>GUIDELINES:</h3>

<ol>
  1. <li> The code may already have been published online, but we prefer code that has been specifically written for this project.</li>
  2. <li> Less is more. Although there are no limitations to the length of the code, successful submissions will be published in book form. Please bear this in mind when deciding what to submit. If your piece contains 50000 lines of code, it might be prohibitive to publish, regardless of its quality.</li>
  3. <li> No more than two files. max 1 Markup and one 1 Stylesheet file. no Javascript. no images. no font files.(sorry) </li>
  4. <li> No externally hosted files. </li>
  5. <li> Only XML based Markup languages referenced <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_XML_markup_languages" target="_blank">here</a> are considered for publication.</li>
  6. <li> No more than 3 submissions per person. Each submission must be sent via email to: <a href="mailto:enquiries@markedup.net">enquiries@markedup.net</a> </li>
  7. <li> Each submission must be accompanied by the following information: <ul> </ul></li>
  8. <li> Those selected to have their work published in the book will be notified via email.</li>
  9. <li> This project is for the love of code. There is no money involved. Sorry!</li>
  10. <li> Submission implies that the work is the sole creation of the entrant/entrants. Submissions must not violate or infringe any copyright, patent, privacy right, publicity right, trademark, service mark or any other personal or property right of any person or entity. The submitter grants without reservation the right to publish submissions in any form.</li>
